This weekend we introduced our son to Santa for the first time. Santa came to the Waterford Town Center where they are having fun activities, games, food and an outdoor ice skating ring at the Winter Wonderland Village.
The whole family took a trip over there to see Santa and grab a snack before heading over to see the new movie Avatar.
Lets say our little man was … well less then reactive. He just kinda went along with everything, no fusses. He even had himself some Frosty the Snowman time.
(Not the best of pictures. It was kind of fuzzy, so scanning it made it even worse.)
This one is a little better … because we took it.
You know what, it was so cool to hug Santa and take a picture with him. It was like being a kid again. I feel that every kid should know about Santa, both the Santa of now and of the original St. Nicholas, and also importantly the Reason for the Season, celebrating the Birth of Christ. It’s all about how we can give of ourselves rather than take.
